What To Expect At Your First Appointment

Your Appointment

Dani understands it can feel daunting bringing your dog into a new environment. To ensure a successful and positive experience for you and your dog and to help calm the nerves, here is a rundown of how to prepare, things to bring and what to expect at your first appointment.

Your first appointment will take about 1 hour 30 minutes, You will need to stay with your dog at all times.

If you need to bring a muzzle with you or your dog wears a muzzle to be handled this is fine, you know your dog best.

Please ensure your dog is clean, dry, and well-groomed when they come for their appointment, this ensures your dog is comfortable and can be properly assessed. Failure to do so may result in your appointment being rescheduled.

Your appointment includes a full case history of your dog being taken, your dog will be weighed and then Dani will watch your dog moving on lead in a walk and trot. Dani will then give your dog a treatment based on her findings. Finally, Dani will give you advice and home rehab exercises. Your dog will be booked in for a follow-up appointment.

It is advisable to arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to give your dog a chance to toilet and have a drink before the appointment.

Please bring any toys that help settle your dog.

Please bring any veterinary notes, x rays, and medications/supplements with you to your appointment if possible. Your vet can email any notes and digital x-rays to danipaizis@gmail.com

There are always plenty of treats available for your dog to reinforce a positive experience, if your dog has allergies or is on a special diet please bring your own treats.

Your dog will need at least 24 hours of complete rest after their treatment.

Please make a note of how your dog behaves and feels after the treatment.
